On Sunday September 9, 2012 at approximately 2:20 p.m. members of the Temiskaming Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police received a report of a theft from the back of a 1998 Red GMC pickup truck that was parked at a residence in the former Town of New Liskeard. The owner of the truck advised police that person(s) took fishing tackle from the rear of his truck while parked at his residence on Lakeshore Road between August 31 and September 9, 2012. Items taken include a black spider wire tackle box full of tackle, Abu Garcia rod and reel with broken tip, Shimano rod green in colour, down rigging rod and reel and a Korean war bayonet. Approximate value of all items taken is $1,000.
Belleville, Ontario- On the 7th of June 2016 at 7:30Pm Police responded to a residential break and enter, on Catherine Street. Investigation revealed that sometime during the day unknown person(s) entered the residence and removed an “Ugly Stick fishing pole and Spider Wire tackle box”. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call Belleville Police or Quinte Crime Stoppers.
